Since 2008, rae kung, the founder of think x blink, has been hired for the project management. The area of works include the coordination of judging panels, concept creation, sponsorship pitching and relations and new campaign execution. Previous campaigns include the Chef of the Year 2011 Competition and Signature Dish Dining Festival. The current active campaign is Chinese Master Chefs.
The annual Awards Ceremony is the official presentation day to reward the finest Chinese signature dishes and restaurants in Metro Vancouver. It is usually held in Spring time of the year. The tasks of the ceremony management include media invitation, VIP invitation, winner relations, registration procedure, event flow, floor planning, MC coordination, MC script writing, screen visual design, AV production, venue coordination and manpower management.
The awards started from zero and now come to its success. Rae Kung created the logo identity from scratch with Chinese brush and ink. Her endless passion to the Awards can also be reflected through all the visual design that can be seen online and public (such as enews, award plaques, window decals, posters, screen visuals and recipe booklets). The art direction is ever renewing and refining to build a credible sustainable brand.
The responsibilities of media relations cover press release conceptualization, writeup and media story pitching. We focus both Mainstream and Chinese media network and have proven successful record of reaching international media and their audiences. Special thanks to the PR master Cate Simpson and Nancy Wong who started up the media relations of the awards, and Debbie Cheung who has been assisting all the way.
The awards’ website does not only consist of simple web static pages. It has the integrated function of online voting system and winner search engine that requires alot of expertise and attention. Special thanks to our programmers Amy Lo and Karen Lo for their dedication and being responsive and hard working to the yearly refinement.
Skill learning and development are always on our mind. The enews was first created with the traditional html programming and now they are built with the online email marketing tool Mailchimp. However, that’s not all. The goal is always to create visually attractive and powerful email marketing campaign and announcement.
